What "k" really means

"k"

A one-letter reply is almost never neutral. "k" is the sound of someone deciding you're not worth the extra letters right now — mild annoyance or quiet disengagement, dressed up as brevity.

If the conversation was flowing and you suddenly get a "k," something shifted. It's a temperature drop, not a full stop — worth a light "you good?" rather than matching the coldness.

Decode YOUR exact message → it depends on context

These are the patterns — but the same word means different things from different people. Sided reads your actual conversation and tells you what THIS person means, and what to say back.
