What "a double text" really means

"a double text"

Double texting has a worse reputation than it deserves. A second message before they reply isn't desperate — it's human. What it "means" is all in the energy: a light, additive double ("also —") reads warm and comfortable; a pile of anxious follow-ups ("??", "you there?") reads insecure.

If you're tempted: one warm, low-stakes follow-up is fine, three is a spiral. And if you're ALWAYS doubling to their singles, that effort gap is the real signal — not the etiquette.

Decode YOUR exact message → it depends on context

These are the patterns — but the same word means different things from different people. Sided reads your actual conversation and tells you what THIS person means, and what to say back.
