Someone who watches your story but never texts is telling you exactly where you stand: interesting enough to keep an eye on, not important enough to reach out to. It's low-effort attention — they like knowing about you, they're just not choosing you.
Passive watching is not the same as wanting you. If you want to know which it is, give them something to reply to directly — and notice whether they take it or keep lurking. Lurking is an answer.
